My client is looking for a motivated and analytical candidate to work in the Assurance team; providing effective governance and assurance by reviewing the design and effectiveness of the first line’s control environment, educating the business and promoting best in risk management strategies and compliance. You will have worked in a large complex business and ideally have an associated professional qualification.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:
• Provide effective governance and assurance by reviewing the design and effectiveness of the first line’s control environment within the Property Division, and how well it supports the operations and priorities of the Senior Leadership Team
• Provide Quality and Risk Management assessments and manage workshops, reporting and issue resolution
• Provide risk insight, identifying themes and horizon scanning to identify emerging risks
• Provide advice and coaching to support the Property Division in consistent interpretation and implementation of risk management methodology and compliance requirements
• Ensure compliance with Group policies, external standards and legislative requirements across supply partners
• Be recognised as adding value through the effectiveness of our Business Management System and ensuring that the Property Division is compliant with certified International & British Standards
• Protect against the loss of external standards which could impact the Group’s ability to gain and retain business

Candidate Specification:
• 4+ years of experience in risk and assurance management in large, complex organisations
• Demonstrable experience of highlighting the need for change and improvement and seeing these through to deliver tangible benefits to the business
• Experience in design and implementation of risk management and assurance frameworks and tools, including the Three Lines of Defence model
• Stakeholder engagement: able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders to fully understand and meet their needs
• Experience of working with various standards and regulatory frameworks, including ISO9001 and ISO14001 desirable
• Relevant professional qualification desirable (e.g. Institute of Risk Management diploma)
